Why We Fight

This movie is without a doubt one of the best bipartisan examinations of global imperialism sponsored by the United States. This movie should be encouraged by high school administrators to be used in Social Studies classrooms across the United States.
The movie supports the assumption that imperialism never stopped after WWI. The United States had the highest amount of military engagements in the 20th century. While it is easier to examine the military aggression of other nations, the United States has been aggressively pursuing military engagements that impact our economy. Finally, the use of patriotism in our country as a form of business proposition is dangerous. This is a common reality classrooms across the country fail to discuss. Even though, some of the teenagers will be actively recruited to fight the war on terror.
